i-Paint XL in practical testing:
Pilot project at the sat Gruppe
As part of the planned renovation of the sat Group’s warehouse at Hilpertstraße 16, 64295 Darmstadt, our i-paint XL painting robot has been put into trial operation for the first time. The hall measures 19.81 m × 52.64 m, and the walls to be coated were up to 3.50 m high – the total area covered was around 507 m².
The sat Group made this test run possible and provided the following preparatory work:
- Sealing imperfections in the plaster
- Covering areas not to be coated
- Insulating water stains
- Coating the ceiling and wall areas above 3.50 m
The sat group also provided material from Akzo Nobel:
- Primer: Herbol Classic Grund
- Top coat: Sikkens Alpha Rapid Plus
- Color: White
i-paint X coated the wall surfaces up to a height of 3.50 m – the perfect application for our robot.
